Do you play squash at a club but don't make the ladies' team?
Do you play at a club where there is no ladies team? So perhaps you play in your club's men's team?
THEN READ ON...
Ladies inter-club squash for the 2018-19 is being revamped to try and encourage more ladies to play. Club vs club fixtures are no more: a new ladder-style format is being introduced!
How will it work?
There will be six Wednesday evenings in the Autumn where any lady players from across Oxfordshire are invited to come to a "match evening" and play against the most closely-matched player there on the night. This means players should get a good game and be able to meet and play ladies they have perhaps not met before.
Results will be entered onto the Oxfordshire Squash & Racketball website [http://www.oxfordshire-squash.com/] by the evening's organiser.
Dates and Venues
The six Wednesdays when the matches will take place, usually from 7pm, are:
19 September - Abingdon Squash Club OX14 1NN
03 October - Racquets Fitness Club OX9 3TH
17 October - Hithercroft Squash Club OX10 9RB
07 November - Abingdon Squash Club OX14 1NN
21 November - Racquets Fitness Club OX9 3TH
05 December - Hithercroft Squash Club OX10 9RB
Players can come to as many, or as few, as they wish. They should notify the organiser at least 7 days in advance.
Cost will be £10 per player on the night, to cover court fees, balls, food and drink.
If you are interested, then please send an email to email@example.com so you can be added to an email contact list in preparation for organising the match evenings.
